Mas Nou – Golfers’ Paradise

“Autumn is perhaps the best time to get active and to discover nature in all its glory. My tip: a walk in the Garrotxa forests to forage for mushrooms. The La Brasa restaurant will be happy to cook your harvest for you and conjure up a tasty evening meal. I also recommend watching the fishing boats come in at the beach in Palamós and the fishermen taking their catch to the market. You're guaranteed to find something tasty for your next meal, whether it's freshly-caught fish or seafood.”

Simona Volinova, Interim Resort Operations Manager Mas Nou

The Mas Nou resort, with its typical regional architecture, is situated in the middle of the Club Golf d’Aro golf course on a plateau, not far from unique nature reserves and la Garrotxa volcanic landscape. Walks, cycling trips, swimming or an excursion to Barcelona ensure a diverse holiday. Children can play in the Mini & Maxi Club during the Easter and summer holidays.

Professional golf instructors are available in the Mas Nou resort upon request, be it for beginners or advanced players who want to improve their handicap. Walk a few steps to find the right club and tee off. Follow the golf ball, breathe in the fresh morning air and let your eyes linger over the view of the surrounding countryside. Take a change of scenery and explore the stunning nearby volcanic landscape along one of the numerous hiking trails or ride a bike through the medieval villages of the Costa Brava. An excursion to the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà nature reserve or the volcanic landscape of La Garrotxa is also amazing. A detour to the bustling city of Barcelona offers one cultural highlight after the other, such as the Picasso museum and the Sagrada Familia, one of the buildings designed by the world-famous architect Gaudí. Alternatively, visit the Dalí museum in Figueres. Back to the golfing paradise. The resort has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool, which is closed during the months of July and August. The rustic apartments are divided into 16 buildings characteristic of the region and all have a balcony or terrace. In the evening, the Catalonian La Brasa restaurant serves traditional dishes from the Costa Brava. Grilled meat from Girona, fresh fish from the Mediterranean, but also typical dishes from the Empordà region, cooked and served in the traditional way, are on offer. For between meals, nice snacks, salads and finger food are available at the Pool Bar from May to September.
