The last few miles to the finish

On a long journey, the last bit is always the hardest. For Hapimag, the coronavirus crisis is not quite over. But together we can make it over the finishing line. A brief update on Hapimag's current situation.

On behalf of the entire Hapimag team, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support over the past few months. Holidays have been booked whenever possible thanks to the patience and perseverance of all the members of our Hapimag family. Now the dark clouds of the coronavirus pandemic are slowly rolling by and the situation is improving. 

Numerous European destinations have relaxed entry requirements for tourists, and the 2021 holiday season can begin. The Hapimag resorts are open again – finally! With the exception of the Marrakech resort, all Hapimag resorts are expected to be available from mid-June. Now it's time to support Hapimag once again. That way we can get things moving.

Below is an overview of the latest developments.

At a glance 

  • We will open all the resorts with the exception of Marrakech by mid-June at the latest. 

  • This means that a number of resorts including Cefalù, Tonda, Scerne di Pineto and Damnoni will open earlier than usual. The newly-renovated Hapimag Resort London is also open again. 

  • Our sales figures and occupancy numbers in 2021 are significantly down due to further lockdowns and travel restrictions. Up to May we had succeeded in occupying just 9% of the potentially available apartments. June will also be a big challenge for us.  

  • Thanks to the ongoing cost measures, we have largely been able to cushion the financial impact of the low occupancy rates.

  • For the summer, the booking situation in the destinations that are accessible by car looks very good. Unfortunately, the classic Mediterranean air-travel destinations still have a lot of spare capacity. 

  • We continue to do everything in our power to make sure as many resorts as possible are open.

 How can you support Hapimag? 

  • We should all spend our holidays in our resorts and encourage others to do the same. This is how we can best support Hapimag. In June in particular there are still many apartments available at short notice.

  • You can change or cancel any booking free of charge up to 8 days before arrival for all arrivals until the end of October 2021. For subsequent arrivals you can also take advantage of our Flex Option which allows you to cancel a booking free of charge up to the day before arrival. The Flex Option is initially only available by phone.

  • Your safety is our priority, and take-away and room service continue to be possible from our restaurants.
