When we visited the resort in Cannero for the first time in 1994, all we saw was a small village with quaint old streets without any lighting. Everything seemed a little run down and neglected. I have been back five times since then and have gradually seen the village transform into something wonderful: the promenade has been redesigned, several shops have appeared, the roads are in good condition and there is a multi-storey car park. The people of Cannero have found work. The village is like a dream of a thousand and one nights. New members continue to flock to the attractive Hapimag complex at Cannero. They pay resort taxes, visit the locality, go shopping and have breathed new life into Cannero over the last 15 years.

Cannero is a fairytale village with a happy ending. Revenue from the tourist trade has made a clear difference to the village. Holidays with Hapimag are all about give and take.
