Westerland Margaretenhof, the pearl on the North Sea coast

Between the raging surge of the sea in the west and the calm mudflats in the east, surrounded by green dykes and majestic cliffs: Westerland is nicely nestled on the island of Sylt, the "Queen of the North Sea", the "Island of the Rich and Beautiful".

In its centre are the buildings of Aalborg, Margarethenhof and Dünenblick. From here, the way to seclusion or excitement is not long. Things are lively on Friedrichstrasse, the "Westerland Mile", which you can reach by foot within a few minutes from the Aalborg and Margarethenhof buildings. Here you can find numerous shopping opportunities while strolling around. In street cafés, classy snack bars and cosy restaurants, the island awaits you with culinary delights. And with a little luck, you will run into the occasional celebrity, who–like you–is looking for a little relaxation at the roaring sea.

"If you are looking for a contrast to Westerland, I've got a tip for you: Keitum! This was once the main town on Sylt and is among the most beautiful villages in North Frisia."
