Chamonix, the capital of alpine sports, is located at the foot of Mont Blanc.

The peak of Europe’s highest mountain was climbed as early as 1786. More recently Chamonix played host to the world’s first Winter Olympic Games in 1924 and has now come to symbolise world-class mountain pleasure like few other places in the world. In winter and summer alike, mountaineers, from beginners to professionals, find their paradise here. Not to be missed is a ride on Europe’s highest cableway, which ascends to a dizzying altitude of 3842 m. And after your excursion into the mountains, the city of Chamonix with its many shops and bars invites you to take a stroll, go shopping or go out. Thanks to its prime location close to the border of Switzerland and Italy, you will discover international flair and French charm in the only one of Hapimag’s winter sports locations that is not located in a German-speaking area.

Yves Rémy, Resort Manager

"Just one hour's hike from the resort you will find one of the most beautiful spots in the region. The mountain cabin ‘La Floria’ with its wonderful view of Mont Blanc is truly charming."
