Hapimag history

Hapimag is a success story – and has been for over 40 years! This story can be summarised in four phases. In 2004, a fifth successful phase started.

Storm and Stress

During the founding years from 1963 to 1968, following the start-up phase, the company posts its first, big profits with share sales.

Reorganisation and regeneration

Between 1969 and 1984 Hapimag tackles urgent projects, for example the points system and accounting, and grows into a stable company.

Stability and prosperity

Between 1985 and 1998 Hapimag quadruples its portfolio of members. In the middle of the nineties, growth levels out somewhat.

In the red and uncertainties

In 2004, a hostile takeover bid is fought off. The members express their trust in the management with 95 percent of shareholder's votes.

What does the future look like

With the four the Worlds of Experience, in 2005 Hapimag achieves greater transparency in its holiday offering and a clearer structure for its members. The company's annual result takes it into the black again.
