Renovations
Artistic Amsterdam
24.02.2010 / Hapimag Amsterdam is currently being thoroughly renovated. For this reason, the city residence will remain closed until 07.08.10. Members can look forward to a completely new city residence in Amsterdam.
From summer 2010, all of the city residence's 26 apartments will gleam with renewed splendour. The renovation will remain entirely in keeping with the artistic culture, as apartments will be individually designed and furnished in line with the style of the Dutch Masters. Hapimag is dedicating the older section of the city residence to famous painters of the 17th century, the so-called Golden Age. This includes Jan Vermeer and Rembrandt van Rijn, for instance. The patrons for the apartments in the newer section are painters from the 20th century. Notable artists from this era are Vincent van Gogh and Piet Mondriaan, for example.
In addition, the facade will be thoroughly renovated and the remaining windows replaced, which were not replaced during an earlier remodelling.
Repositioning is going ahead
With this comprehensive renovation, Hapimag is once again demonstrating the direction in which the company is moving. Hapimag members feel at home in the stylishly and authentically furnished apartments. A sense of well-being is also emanated by the cosy ambience and the colourful furnishing details.
The renovation work has been underway since mid-January 2010. At the moment, the interior of the apartments has been removed. Modifications are also going to be made to the technical installations, such as ventilation, heating and power distribution. "Everything is going to plan, the work is coming on well", confirmed Peter Beer, Project Manager for Real Estate, Technical Department.
You can see photos of the construction site and two model apartments below. One model apartment has been designed in the style of the artist Jan Vermeer, and the other in the style of Piet Mondriaan.
