In Punkaharju, you will leave your day-to-day stress far behind. Within the pristine nature, you will find the space to clear your mind and recollect your thoughts. Leave everyday life behind you. Hike through the extensive forests in the east of Finland and with a little bit of luck you can watch moose, hares or lynxes as they forage for food. Glide along well-groomed cross-country ski runs and enjoy the unspoilt lakeland. Whether you visit in winter or summer – cast out your line and try your luck in Lake Puruvesi. Experience natural relaxation with a session in the sauna. At the end of the day, enjoy regional, Finnish and Lapp specialities in the Kota grill house. The cuisine is a coming-together of Western and Eastern influences.

Log cabin at Lake Puruvesi

Our resort in Finland consists of 38 bungalows in classic Finnish log cabin style with its own sauna, open fireplace and a sheltered veranda. The resort also has a grill house which offers regional specialities. Located directly on the shore of Lake Puruvesi, the resort is an ideal starting point for activities amongst nature.

Bathing possibilities

A separate bathing cove on the Puruvesi lake with sunbathing area and beach sauna (summer only) guarantees pure bathing pleasure.

Gastronomy
Our Kota Grillhouse invites you to regional, Finnish or Lapp theme evenings on the large terrace. Or to the cosy Hapimag barbecue evening with smoked salmon. We also offer breakfast in the Kota Grillhouse restaurant (advance order). There are some food shops in the centre of Punkaharju (10 to 17 km). A mobile food shop comes to the resort once a week.
Mobility
Public transport is not great, so travelling by car is recommended. There is a public bus service during the school year with a stop 1 km from the resort. The nearest railway station is in Punkaharju (10 km). Cycles, canoes, rowing boats and cross-country skiing equipment can be hired at the resort.
