Paris – Latin Quarter, boutiques and cafés
We cross Pont Neuf from our address to get to the Île de la Cité and stroll along the Seine past the Conciergerie, in which many nobles were imprisoned during the revolution, and then continue on to Notre Dame. Our minds may wander to the Victor Hugo novel and we may be thinking about the unfortunate hunchback of Notre Dame and the beautiful Esmeralda in the bell tower. Then we find ourselves in the Latin Quarter and the University Quarter with the time-honoured Sorbonne. We will find countless bookshops, boutiques and small cafés here in the tangled, cobblestone lanes. We cross the Seine again and go to the Place de la Bastille and stop in Marais in search of an exquisite pub.

A diverse metropolis
We can book a sightseeing tour at reception and purchase tickets for the theatre and concert. There are endless worthwhile destinations that are easily reached on the metro. Montmartre and Sacré Coeur to name just a few. We will have a fantastic view of the whole of Paris from the hill. If we want to experience the multicultural side of Paris, we take a shopping trip to the Boulevard Barbès and we will soon feel as if we are in North Africa. If we simply want to relax, then an excursion to the west of the city to the Bois de Boulogne or to the palace gardens of Versailles (60 km) is the thing to do.
