"A very special experience at present is a snowshoe hike through the deep snow in the Harz Forest", recommends Petra Becker, an employee in Sales & Marketing at the Braunlage resort. There, locals and guests have for once been trying out their skis and sledges on the beaches of Rügen, saving themselves the trouble of travelling all the way to the mountains.
