Renovations 2011

Winterberg 
Interest in oriental healing practices such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is growing steadily in the Western world. Hapimag would like to make this ancient form of therapy accessible to members in Winterberg. In order to provide the cooperation venture partner TC Medic with the necessary infrastructure for the treatments, the main building of the resort needs to undergo some structural alterations. These are currently in progress. In addition, a restaurant will open in spring 2011 whose offering will be strongly based on the five elements of Chinese medicine in order to support the effect of TCM healing methods in the best possible way.

Unterkirnach
Hapimag and the local charitable organisation, Caritas, have agreed to jointly operate the Hapimag resort in Unterkirnach in future. In future, Caritas will employ people with disabilities, who otherwise would no longer have had any opportunities on the normal job market, for certain tasks in the gastronomy operation, housekeeping and in the garden. For example, trainees with learning difficulties can complete their training here or persons with hearing disabilities or language difficulties can assume tasks in the kitchen or garden. In addition, the leisure advice and excursion offering in the resort and in the natural paradise of the Black Forest will be extended and implemented with the help of the local authority in Unterkirnach. These two cooperation ventures make the infrastructure adjustments here necessary. The apartments are also to undergo renovation work.

Cefalù
The Hapimag resort on Sicily has been in the portfolio for four years. Experiences in the daily operation have shown that the processes can still be improved. Thus it is now planned to relocate the reception and the shop into an existing building that is situated closer to the site entrance. This restructuring is planned for completion in 2011.

Marbella
In Marbella the complete ground floor and the inner courtyard are to be renovated after the 2011 summer season. The entire area will become more clearly arranged and attractive with the restructuring. It is also planned to relocate the restaurant so that the guests can benefit fully from the unique location by the sea.

Building projects
In addition to the renovations, Hapimag is also planning two new city residences in Lisbon (PT) and Salzburg (AT) in the coming years. Hapimag is still in contact with the authorities at both locations with regard to obtaining the respective building permits. We will provide you with further information as soon as the projects have made the decisive step forward. The same also applies to the property in Cervo, Liguria, where the preliminary contract will only take effect after a valid building permit has been received.
