Munich – The full programme
We experience Munich firsthand from here. At reception, we can book a city tour that passes by the Maximilianeum, Theresienwiese and Stachus. We explore the inner city on foot. We find Bavarian specialities in countless delicatessens, buy fresh groceries at the daily Viktualienmarkt food market. We visit prominent exhibition houses such as the Haus der Kunst, the Lenbachhaus and the Hypo-Kunsthalle and admire classic, contemporary and modern art in the three art galleries. We broaden our historical knowledge in all types of museums. The visit to the famous Deutsches Museum is the highlight of our fact-finding tour. We experience the Munich of the old days in the Hofbräuhaus: refresh our energy levels with roast pork, dumplings and a large beer.

A metropolis of events and trade fairs
Munich is a city of many events. Be it an awards ceremony, a sporting event, concert or summer festival, a special event awaits us at any time. We mustn't miss the chance to attend the Oktoberfest. The world's biggest folk festival takes place at the Theresienwiese each year from mid-September until the beginning of October. Of course Munich is also a city for trade fairs with one trade fair taking place after another. We can experience a sporty and, at the same time, architectural highlight with a visit to the Allianz Arena, the most modern football stadium in Europe and home ground of Bayern Munich football club. An excursion to Munich's surrounding area is also worthwhile: the quaint spa town of Bad Tölz is just 54 km away, and a visit to the magical castles of Herrenchiemsee (90 km) and Neuschwanstein (130 km) is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
