On our houseboats in Müritz you can expect a relaxed natural experience in the middle of lakes and forests. Our houseboats are a means of transport and a comfortable home in one. Such a journey on the Mecklenburg Lakeland is characterised by cosiness and an exploratory spirit.

Peacefully float along past golden-yellow rapeseed fields, hilly landscapes and unspoilt natural beauty. Along the way stumble upon exciting areas such as the lively small town of Waren with its historic old town and rare bird types in the Müritz National Park. During your holiday on the water, you can also discover the unique flora and fauna of the Mecklenburg Lakeland. And enjoy drifting along or moving ahead at a leisurely pace. The hustle and bustle of everyday life is far, far away.

At home and out and about in the houseboat

Thanks to the comfortably equipped houseboats, you feel at home on our houseboats in Müritz. The boats undergo a maintenance check before every departure. Before you set off you receive detailed instructions and go on a test run with expert support.

Two-cabin boat, Venus 34 (6x)

Three-cabin boat, Venus 38 (2x)
6 - 8 persons | approx. 28m²

General infrastructure

You will feel at home on these comfortable boats. Prior to embarking, you will receive extensive instruction including a test drive. The boats are serviced prior to every voyage and are in prime condition.

  • All home ports have outdoor and indoor parking spaces for a fee.

Gastronomy

There are small bakeries and grocery shops in the villages along the canals. In case of doubt, the lock attendants will tell you how far it is to the next store. You will receive reliable restaurant tips at the home port.

Additional information
  • Minimum age of person in charge of steering the boat is 25 (no licence necessary)
  • Sailing days are Friday or Saturday
  • Your houseboat will be provided with a full tank (enough for 2 weeks)
  • Electricity on board: 12 volts, 100 watts.
  • The boats come equipped as standard with life jackets and a lifesaver ring. You must request children's life jackets at your departure point.
Logbook

You will receive a river guide with precise and detailed maps, as well as a Hapimag logbook in five languages containing information on necessary preparations approx. five weeks before the start of your trip.

Please read the logbook carefully. It will increase your anticipation of a great holiday and at the same time prepare you optimally for your trip.

Important information
  • In-depth instruction or boat driving license will be required
  • Acceptance of boat without driving licence: between 14.00 and 14.30. (Duration of instruction: Approx. 3½ hours)
  • Please be prepared to wait upon later arrival.
  • The participant must return the boat to the base named in the contract
  • The boat driver must be at least 25 years of age
  • Recommendation: Minimum occupancy of 3 persons
  • If your trip occurs across weeks with different prices and points debit, the invoice will be calculated on a pro-rata basis
