Merano – Castles and museums

At the Tyrol Castle (6 km), we admire the gateways and the two-storey castle chapel with its magnificent frescos from the 14th century, which show the power of the Tyrolean princes. From Merano, we can also travel to Bolzano, the capital of the South Tyrol (30 km). We can visit castles and museums, go shopping in the city centre and follow that with an excursion to the Dolomites. The impressive mountain region with gentle pastures and steep rock faces is spellbinding.
