Mas Nou – Discover Catalonia

We buy fresh fruit and vegetables at the market in Platja d’Aro (6 km) or Sant Feliu de Guixols (12 km) and find a large selection of restaurants. The fancy shopping street at Platja d'Aro with its unique flair and eclectic options for going out is perfect for leisurely strolls until late in the evening. A trip to the Pyrenees (100 km) or along the Costa Brava with its spectacular rock formations and secluded bays are also worthwhile. If we are interested in local crafts, we can visit the Museum of Traditional Ceramics in La Bisbal (30 km). In the Fisheries Museum in Palamós (approx.10 km) you can find out more about fishing techniques and marine animals. We will then take part in the fish auction in the port.

  • Excursions

In addition to the towns of Girona (30 km) and Figueres (85 km), the Catalonian capital Barcelona (100 km) is also worth a visit. Those who like to stroll around Mediterranean markets or go shopping should head for Platja d'Aro (6 km) or Palafrugel (20 km).
