» Travelling from Dresden Airport

S-Bahn (urban rail)/tram:
Travel from the underground S-Bahn station at the airport to Dresden main railway station (Line S2). From there, leave the station either via the City/Prager Strasse exit and take tram no. 7 towards Weixdorf or leave the station via the main exit/Exit 1 (Hauptausgang/Ausgang 1) and take tram no. 3 towards Wilder Mann. In each case, travel three stops to Pirnaischer Platz (Stadtmuseum). Here, cross the road (Ringstrasse) on which the tram stopped and then cross Wilsdruffer Strasse (Pirnaischer Platz). Then bear left into Landhausstrasse. After approx. 150 m you will see the city residence on the left.

Bus/tram:
Take bus no. 77 (from the terminal) to Infineon Nord. There change to tram no. 7 towards Pennrich and get off at Pirnaischer Platz (Stadtmuseum). Walk back approx. 50 m (towards the traffic lights) and cross the ring-road (Ringstrasse). Then cross Wilsdruffer Strasse (Pirnaischer Platz) and bear left into Landhausstrasse. After approx. 150 m you will see the city residence on the left.

» Car

Coming from the north (Berlin) and the south (Chemnitz, Nuremberg, Stuttgart):
Coming on the A4, take Exit 80 to Dresden-Wilder Mann. At Moritzburger Landstrasse/S179, turn left towards Dresden. Follow the road to Hansastrasse/B170. Continue on the B170, at Palaisplatz turn left and after 850 m turn right at Carolabrücke (bridge) towards Prague/Pirna/Zoo. At Pirnaischer Platz turn right towards Zwinger and immediately bear right again into Landhausstrasse. After approx. 150 m you will see the city residence on the left.

» Rail

From Dresden main railway station:

Special information

There is no parking availability at the city residence. If you are travelling by car you should use the parking spaces provided in the public Frauenkirche/Neumarkt car park, Landhausstrasse 2 (EUR 10.- per day). Please book your parking space at least a week before your arrival at the city residence. We recommend that you arrive by public transport.
