We enjoy the view over the castle gardens from our room while we look forward to a hearty breakfast in the lounge. We tie on our apron for the gourmet cooking course and receive expert instruction on the secrets of cooking before preparing an exquisite 3-course menu including specialities from the region. In addition to various culinary highlights, the former principality of Berry also offers some interesting historical buildings. We visit churches and medieval castles such as the abbey church in Saint Savin which boasts impressive murals from the 11th and 12th centuries.
