Travel
From the Lyon motorway (A7):
Near the motorway junction (near Orange) take the A9 in the direction of Nîmes/Montpellier, after 165 km take the motorway exit no. 36, Béziers Ouest, and travel on the D64 in the direction of Castres/Mazamet/St. Pons. After approx. 850 m take the exit on the right and travel on the D11 in the direction of Montady. Continue through Montady on the D11 towards Capestang. There turn right after the "Cave Cooperative". Continue further along the Avenue de la République and cross over the Canal du Midi. After the bridge immediately turn right. You will see the France Fluviale building on the left after approx. 20 m.
From Perpignan (A9):
At exit no. 38 leave the motorway (direction Narbonne). At the roundabout take the third exit and continue on the D6009 for 7 km. Pass through Narbonne. At the roundabout take the third exit and continue along the D13. Cross Cuxac-d’Aude and turn right onto the D413 in the direction of "Pont des Graves". At Pont des Graves turn right onto the D16 and continue on for approx. 6 km to Capestang. Continue further along the Avenue de la République and cross over the Canal du Midi. After the bridge immediately turn right. You will see the France Fluviale building on the left after approx. 20 m.

Special information
- All additional services (e.g. bicycles, closed car park, etc.) and flat-rate charges for operating costs (EUR 9.- per hour of motoring) must be paid directly to the base in Euro or using a credit card (Mastercard or Visa).
- To ensure your comfort you should not take more than four bicycles with you on your houseboat (due to lack of space).
- Pets (which must be at least 3 months old) must have been vaccinated against rabies at least 4 weeks but no more than 1 year beforehand in order to enter France.
In the future motorists and motorcyclists in France will have to carry an alcohol testing device. The regulation comes into force on 1 July 2012 and also applies to tourists. Following a four-month familiarisation phase a penalty of EUR 11.– shall apply in the event of non-compliance. Appropriate disposable testing devices are available for approximately EUR 1.50 in pharmacies, discos and filling stations.
Miscellaneous
- There is no safe on board. Do not leave cash or valuables unattended on your houseboat.
- Parking at the port is at your own risk. We therefore advise that you rent a secure parking space for the duration of your trip (25 EUR per week). Should you wish to have a covered parking space (50 EUR per week), please make an advance reservation by writing to midi@hapimag.com, as the number of covered parking spaces available is limited.
