Tip for rainy days: Braunlage Local History and FIS Ski Museum
The Braunlage Local History and FIS Ski Museum was opened as a local history museum on 1 July 1916. The initial exhibits of the museum were the "Objects from Older Times" collected by Braunlage's schoolchildren at the bidding of their teacher Gottlieb Schmidt in 1913 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Nations at Leipzig.
