Ascona – Artistic location
Ascona is renowned for its culture. Intellectuals and artists who lived on Monte Verità more than 100 years ago have left their mark in the town. In May, we experience the arts at close quarters during the street artist festival. In the months of June and July, we listen to the sound of the saxophone and trumpet at the New Orleans Jazz Festival in Ascona. In August, we watch films competing in the international film contest at the outdoor Locarno film festival. From August to October, we listen to the classic sounds of the Settimane Musicali festival.
