Water sports

Rugged coastlines, a mild climate all year round or a glamorous jet-set mecca. The Hapimag addresses on the North Sea and Baltic Sea, on the Mediterranean and Atlantic or at lakes offer exciting, unique landscapes for water sports, ideal conditions and the best infrastructure for nearly every water sport.

  • Diving

Dive into an exciting, secretive and fascinating world of silence. Drift weightlessly through the water and discover an underwater world. The Hapimag addresses in Damnoni (GR), Bodrum (TK), Albufeira (PT), Mas Nou and Paguera (ES) are considered to be top spots amongst divers.
At another ten addresses there are cooperation ventures with diving schools. Here, you can take part in a course for certificates of competence for various levels or rent equipment.

  • Catamaran

Glide across the water's surface at high speeds. Feel the power of the wind and waves and return to the beach with a sense of exhilaration. The addresses in Damnoni (GR) and Bodrum (TK) offer catamaran sailing directly in the resorts.

Beginners or sailors with some basic experience can attend a course and take a test for a globally recognised basic licence. Experienced sailors can enjoy the fascination of catamaran sailing in breathtaking surroundings.

  • Sailing boat

Set the sails, drift towards the horizon with the power of the wind behind you and get a real feeling of freedom and space out at sea, as can only be felt by seafarers. Hapimag members can choose from ten sailing addresses in the most varied of areas.

Venture out on your first sailing attempts along the coast of the Côte d’Azur (FR) or practice the most difficult manoeuvres on Lake Zell (AT): The sailing schools at the addresses in La Madrague (FR) and Zell am See (AT), for example, run courses for the various sailing licences or rent out boats and equipment.

  • Windsurfing

Practice balance and power, glide over the water with the force of the wind behind you and dare to make spectacular manoeuvres. The Hapimag addresses in the various surfing havens offer ideal conditions for beginners and experienced surfers. Damnoni (GR) or the VDWS water sports base in Bodrum (TK) are perfect for surfers who love the Mediterranean. Further north, our addresses at Sylt (DE), Zell am See (AT) and Interlaken (CH) are perfect for hours of adventure on the water.

  • Jet skiing

Experience the feeling of speed, freedom and ease. Hit the gas and make tight curves on the waves. Or glide over the mirror-smooth surface of a lake and feel the force of the jet drive. Jet skis are available for rent near the resorts at six Hapimag addresses, and even in the resort itself in Scerne di Pineto (IT).

  • Water-skiing and wakeboarding

Glide over the water, making curves and spectacular jumps over the stern wash. Thos who have the knack will enjoy the exhilaration of being on the water on water-skis or a wakeboard. Nine Hapimag addresses are ideally suited to water-skiers and wakeboarders. And if you have never stood on a board on the water, you should definitely try it – for example in Damnoni (GR), Interlaken (CH) or Binz (DE).

  • Rowing

Put the oars in the water and feel how your own muscle power can move the boat across the water. Six Hapimag addresses offer rowers a unique natural backdrop. But rowing in free nature is not only incredibly relaxing: it also demands power and stamina, has a positive effect on all main muscle groups and gives you a cardiovascular workout. That's why rowing is one of the healthiest sports you can do.

Whether on a river, lake or the sea, rowing at Hapimag addresses means working out in the middle of fascinating countryside and on remarkably different bodies of water. Such as, for example, in Punkaharju (FI) or Zell am See (AT).

  • Kayak

Take a deep breath, listen to the gentle splash of the paddle entering the water and let water and nature work their magic on you. Developed by the Eskimos, canoeing or kayaking is no longer just a sport, but also a means of relaxation and discovering nature. Ten Hapimag addresses offer paddlers rich and varied areas: For example, in Punkaharju (FI) discover the land of the thousand lakes by canoe/kayak or go on a journey of discovery with a paddle in your hand in the Mediterranean climate of La Madrague (FR), Porto Heli (GR) or Albufeira (PT).

  • Banana Ringo

Feel the adrenaline pulse through your veins as you ride from wave to wave, shouting out your enjoyment at being pulled over the water behind a motorboat on an inflatable rubber banana. A trip on the banana boat or in the ringo-ring is something for all the family to enjoy. This exciting experience is offered directly on site at the addresses in Damnoni (GR), Cannero, Scerne de Pineto (IT) and Bodrum (TK). In many other resorts, there are banana boat and ringo stations in the near vicinity.

  • Pedalo

Take a relaxing trip on a pedalo, stopping now and again to dive into the cool water. Listen to the sounds of the waves and enjoy the moment in the middle of the beautiful countryside. A pedalo excursion is an absolute must for anyone who is looking for time to just sit and contemplate the world. Of course, the same goes for families wishing to spend a few happy hours on the water together. Pedalos are available for rent at many Hapimag addresses. Often, pedalos are available directly in the resorts. For example, in Damnoni (GR), Marbella, Paguera (ES) and Bodrum (TK).

For active sports fans:
"The staff on site are also knowledgeable about golf and are on hand with advice and assistance – they know the nicest golf courses in the region, tell us about green fee discounts for Hapimag members and even reserve the tee-off times for us." The customer care on site really leaves nothing to be desired."
